I just wanted to send you a note to let you know much my wife and I recognize and appreciate the outstanding service that we received from Jeff on the sale of our home. This was our second transaction with Jeff. He helped us find and purchase our home in Chino Hills. He did an excellent job on that purchase, so our expectations were high on this transaction. That being said, to say that he exceeded our expectations would be an understatement. I recently accepted a job in Northern California and we needed to sell our home. I was transferring to Northern California immediately and my wife and I were going to be separated until the house sold and closed. We contacted Jeff about listing our house and asked about our options on selling strategy. Understanding our situation, he proposed a 30-day sale pricing strategy. He presented us with an excellent marketing plan and showed us the advantages that Prudential California Realty would offer us in the market place. Once we agreed upon a price, Jeff discussed some things with us that would help our house show better. While we felt that we had an excellent home, the things that he brought up to help us stage the property when being shown were simple to do and we feel were very helpful in getting more offers. The end result of this up-front effort was that we sold our home in 29 days at a price that although was lower than we would have like, was enough to meet our needs. We had an incredible number of website hits and showings and we feel that Jeff’s marketing plan, sales effort, and follow-through were instrumental in us meeting our goal. These are things that we came to expect from our prior dealings with Jeff and were pleased that they happened. What made Jeff’s effort so incredible were the things that he did that were over and above the normal activities. Here are a few examples. In addition to selling the house in Chino Hills, we needed to buy a home in Northern California. Jeff put us in contact with an excellent loan person and realtor who both were outstanding to work with. This made our transaction on the buying side much easier. Because I was already relocated while the house was being marketed, Jeff came up with the idea to allow my wife to decide when to leave the lock box outside. This provided both of us some piece of mind and still allowed for the home to be aggressively marketed and shown. This was something that we had never heard of before, but it greatly alleviated some security issues that we were both worried about. At the close of escrow, Jeff took the extra step to have our money wired directly into our checking account instead of having a check sent to us. This got us our money about three or four days earlier than would have occurred otherwise. Just prior to the closing, we needed to replace the door to the garage to correct an item that came up during the inspection. When my wife and I were putting it in, I had mis-drilled the holes for the door knobs. Jeff stopped by to drop off some papers and suggested an easy solution. He drove me to Home Depot to buy the parts, helped me put them in, and solved the problem. This saved us almost $900 from having to get someone else to re-do the doors and saved us from the scramble to find some to do them on short notice as the walk-through to verify that they were done was scheduled in less than a week. Just prior to the closing, our pool got out of balance on the chemicals and had turned lime green. I was in Northern California at the time. I contacted Jeff and he coordinated having his own pool service person come to our house and get the pool back in balance. This solved the problem as it was just two days prior to the walk-through and we needed it fixed fast. We were having a hard time scheduling a time to do the walk-through with the buyers due to some scheduling conflicts. To resolve this, Jeff volunteered to do this for us. I gave him a list all of the things that needed to be reviewed and he went through it with the buyers. These are just a few of the things that Jeff did during the transaction. He was always available when we needed help or advise. He stayed on top of the showings and kept us informed at all times even if it was just to tell us that nothing was happening. He stayed on top of the sale transaction at all times to ensure that things happened in a timely manner. He let us know what was happening with the buyer’s and ensured that everything proceeded as planned. He put together an excellent plan to manage the transaction and help us deal with the unexpected items as they arose. The bottom line is the definition of excellent customer service is meeting or exceeding your client’s expectations in our opinion. Jeff did that and much, much more. The things that he did to help us were well beyond what you would expect from a realtor, but they are what makes working with Jeff such a pleasure. We would strongly recommend Jeff to anyone that we know who is looking to either buy or list their home for sale. He is truly an amazing person to work with.
